Estate planning can be a complex and emotional process. So I try to make the process as streamlined as possible.
We’ll always start with a short, free introductory call to discuss your family situation and get a general picture of your assets and estate planning goals. After our call, I should have a rough sense of the scope and type of plan that fits your needs.
I will follow up with a proposed plan, including options depending on your unique planning needs, and a preliminary flat-fee estimate for drafting your documents. If you decide to move forward, I will send an engagement letter and instructions for accessing your client portal, where you can provide any additional information I’ll need to design your estate plan.
I will prepare your documents, keeping you updated and following up as needed for additional information or clarification. Draft documents will be sent to you for review and made available in your client portal, and I will make suitable revisions, with follow-up meetings if necessary, to finalize the plan.
Once documents are ready, we can schedule a signing meeting to formally execute your full set of estate planning documents. I’m happy to meet wherever works best for you: your home, my office, or another location of your choosing.
You’ll leave with your signed set of estate planning documents along with instructions about storing your documents, funding your trusts (if applicable), and retitling assets or changing beneficiary designations as needed. And I’m always available to assist with funding and retitling guidance.
